Floods are a major global disaster resulting in the loss of lives and properties. The devastating impacts are more amplified in ungauged river basins where ground flood monitoring systems are either sparse or absent. Some satellite products such as the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) have proven invaluable in their potential for flood prediction.
